Car insurance renewal reminder
Enter your number plate, expiry date and email. On the expiry date we write to you once, only if the renewal does not show up.
In short: after expiry, motor insurance in Italy as a rule stays active for 15 days. The reminder arrives on the first of those days, with the I have already paid button.

How to check whether your car is insured
The official check is the motor insurance cover check on the Portale dell'Automobilista (in Italian), the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport: you enter the plate and a verification code, and the page says whether the vehicle shows up as insured. Insurers update the database, but a policy you have just paid can appear after one or two days: if you have the payment receipt, you are fine.
This service checks the cover of car plates on the expiry date and does not write to you if you have already renewed; in the reminder you will still find the link to the official check.
Frequently asked questions
How many days do I have to renew my motor insurance after it expires?
As a rule 15 days: art. 170-bis of the Italian Private Insurance Code obliges the insurer to keep the cover active until the new policy takes effect and in any case no later than the fifteenth day after expiry. After those days, without a renewal, the vehicle is not covered and must not be driven.
Do you check whether my car is insured?
Yes, for car plates in the AB123CD format: we check the cover on the expiry date and when you tell us you have paid, through a provider that consults the cover database. If on the expiry date the plate already shows as renewed, we do not write to you. For other plates we use the date you enter. Every email also carries the link to the official check on the Portale dell'Automobilista.
How many emails will I receive?
We write to you once per expiry. The email has an "I have already paid" button: you confirm from the page and we follow you to the next expiry. At the bottom of the email there is also a link to stop receiving anything.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. You do not need an account and you do not need a policy with us. Commercial communications arrive only if you accept them with the second tick box, which is optional.
Can I add more than one number plate?
Yes: enter one plate at a time with the same email. Each plate has its own reminder and its own "I have already paid" button.
