Who we are
Assicurazione Castello di Annone di Rabacchin Matteo — VAT no. IT01627330051 — with offices at Via Angelo Brofferio, 181, Asti (AT); Via Umberto I, 14, Castello di Annone (AT); Piazza Antonio Piacentino, 5, Rocchetta Tanaro (AT).
Registered in the Italian Single Register of Insurance and Reinsurance Intermediaries (RUI) section E, no. E000517439, since 28 April 2015. Owner and person responsible for the distribution activity: Rabacchin Matteo. Telephone +390141441493 — certified email (PEC) matterbm@pec.it.
We are supervised by IVASS, the Italian insurance regulator. Anyone can check our registration free of charge in the public register at servizi.ivass.it/RuirPubblica.
What we do, and how
We act as intermediaries registered in section E of the RUI and distribute products on behalf of the insurers we represent: Reale Mutua, Vittoria Assicurazioni, Prima Assicurazioni. We are not the insurer: the contract is concluded with the company named in the policy form.
The quote you get on this site is calculated only on the data you enter and is a non-binding offer: it is not a personal recommendation. One of our advisers assesses whether the policy suits your insurance needs in the following contact, before you sign.
Remuneration and conflicts of interest
We charge the customer no fee or cost for advice and distribution: we are paid a commission already included in the premium paid to the insurer. On request we tell you the nature of the remuneration we receive for the proposed contract.
We hold no direct or indirect holding of 10% or more of the share capital or voting rights of any insurer. No insurer, or parent company of an insurer, holds 10% or more of our share capital or voting rights.
How to make a complaint
A complaint is a statement of dissatisfaction about an insurance contract or service. Requests for information, explanations or compensation for damage are not complaints.
The policies are Italian contracts, so complaints follow the Italian procedure below. The UK Financial Ombudsman Service does not deal with complaints about an Italian intermediary or an Italian policy.
1. Complaints about our conduct (for example about the distribution activity or our employees and collaborators): write to Assicurazione Castello di Annone di Rabacchin Matteo, Via Angelo Brofferio, 181, 14100 Asti (AT), or to info@assicurazionecastellodiannone.it or by certified email (PEC) to matterbm@pec.it. You may write in English. We reply within 45 days of receipt.
2. Complaints about the contract or the handling of a claim: these go to the insurer that issued the policy, following the procedure published on its website.
- http://www.realemutuabtp.it/portale/reclami.html
3. If you receive no reply within 45 days, or the reply does not satisfy you, you can turn to IVASS — Servizio Tutela del Consumatore, Via del Quirinale 21, 00187 Roma, enclosing a copy of the complaint and of any reply received. The form and instructions, in Italian, are on ivass.it.
You can always go to court. Before doing so, for insurance disputes you must first attempt mediation, which is compulsory (Legislative Decree 28/2010), or assisted negotiation; for cross-border disputes the FIN-NET network can be used.
Right of withdrawal
For non-life contracts concluded at a distance — which is the case for policies requested through this site — you can withdraw within 14 days of the conclusion of the contract, with no penalty and without giving a reason (art. 67-duodecies of the Italian Consumer Code). For life contracts the period is 30 days (art. 177 of the Private Insurance Code).
You withdraw by written notice to one of our offices or by certified email (PEC) to matterbm@pec.it. The insurer refunds the premium paid, less the part for the period in which the contract was in force and the taxes already paid.
The right to withdraw from a distance contract does not apply to travel and baggage policies lasting less than one month (art. 67-duodecies, paragraph 5, Consumer Code). For each product the periods stated in its Insurance Conditions also apply.
Pre-contract documents
Before signing you receive the complete Information Set: Pre-contract Information Document (DIP Danni), Additional DIP and Insurance Conditions. The Insurance Conditions of the products sold on this site can be downloaded here (in Italian):

The DIP and Additional DIP of each product are given to you on a durable medium before you sign; you can ask for them at any time by writing to info@assicurazionecastellodiannone.it. We go through them with you in English.
Protection for the insured
The insurer is liable for damage caused by the intermediary in the course of the distribution activity, under art. 119 of the Private Insurance Code. Premiums paid to the intermediary are treated as paid directly to the insurer.
